1. Create a Google AccountIf you do not already have one simply follow the instructions and confirm your account via the verification email that Google will send you Create your Free Google Account Now |
2. Sign Up For a Free Google Analytics AccountUse your Google Account details that you have just confirmed to sign up for a Free Google Analytics Account & follow the instructions to set up your account for your Actinic website

3. Obtaining Your Google Analytics Account Number Now that you have created your account you will see an overview which will list your website address (www.yourwebsite.co.uk) followed by your Google Analytics Account number which is usually in this format:
UA-XXXXXX-XX
X represents a number
Cut and paste or copy this number into a word or text document and save it to your computer (call it Google Analytics Code) |
 4. Putting Your Google Analytics Code Into Your Actinic Softwarea. Open up your copy of Actinic
b. Select the Marketing tab from the top menu bar
c. Select Google Analytics from that menu
d. Tick the box Enable Google Analytics
e. Enter your Google Analytics Code in the box provided
f. Click OK
g. Publish to web

5. Check its working!Go back to Google analytics via the link in step two of this section or by clicking the View My Google Analytics link where you have just entered your Google Analytics account within Actinic.
a. Sign In using your Google Account details
b. In the Overview panel (where you got your code from) select edit in the actions column to the right of your website address in the same row as view reports.
c. On the right above the Main Website Profile Information Panel
click Check Status
Tip: In this Main Website Profile Panel ensure that your time zone and currency settings are correct and that is says yes for the ecommerce website field !
